The Powers and Duties of the Mount Joy Township Planning Commission include:
- Preparing the Comprehensive Plan for consideration by the Board of Supervisors
- Making recommendations to the Board of Supervisors concerning the adoption or amendment of an Official Map
- Making recommendations to the Board of Supervisors on proposed amendments to the Zoning Ordinance
- Approving or denying subdivision and land development plan submissions
